About Us

Our Mission

The Center for Community Solutions provides strategic leadership and organizes community resources to improve health, social, and economic conditions through demographic research, nonpartisan policy analysis and advocacy, and communication.

Our Vision
The Center for Community Solutions will be the premier statewide resource for providing sound, objective research, analysis, and advocacy to improve the health, social, and economic conditions for all Ohioans, with a focus on Northeast Ohio.  As a leader and valued catalyst for public discourse, we will be recognized for our willingness to work collaboratively to achieve effective social policy and responsive services.

Our Work
Three areas of expertise support every aspect of our work: Applied Research; Nonpartisan Public Policy and Advocacy; and Communications.

All three areas work together to achieve goals around five priority issues:

  1. Regional Quality of Life Goals
  2. State Fiscal, Health, Social, and Economic Policy
  3. Aging and Senior Issues
  4. Child and Youth Development
  5. Community and Family Health

We believe by properly combating these issues, we will be one step closer to achieving our main goal: to improve the quality of life of all Ohioans.

Helping the People Who Help People Since 1913
Community Solutions' efforts are critical to the work and effectiveness of direct service organizations in Northeast Ohio. These organizations use our data to identify changes in community demographics that will impact their services and identify the gaps and overlaps within these services. They use our timely and affordable training programs to increase their knowledge in order to better serve their constituents. They use our analysis to better understand public policies that effect their work and develop advocacy agendas accordingly. They use the networks and coalitions we offer to build a strong voice on behalf of the most vulnerable citizens in our community.

In addition to direct service organizations, funders, as well as policy makers, rely on our data and analysis to inform their decision-making, which can potentially impact all Ohioans.
