NEO Family Planning Program
Family Planning services help women and men determine if and when they want to have children. The program provides confidential services and helps keep families healthy. Family Planning includes regular checkups and testing. It helps individuals and families plan pregnancies to ensure individuals are ready and best able to care for children. Studies show that when pregnancies are planned, women and infants are more likely to be healthy.
The Center for Community Solutions served as the grantee for the Northeast Ohio area serving thousands of men, women, and adolescents annually from the time federally funding for family planning became available in 1970 until the end of the most recent grant period, March 30, 2013. Due to its evolved role in the community, Community Solutions chose not to reapply to continue serving as grantee. After a competitive process, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Population Affairs awarded the grant to the Ohio Department of Health.
