Last Year's Institute


The 2009 Human Services Institute, held on March 13 at the Cleveland Convention Center, featured two keynote addresses.
 
The W. T. McCullough Lecture by Ohio Chancellor Eric Fingerhut highlighted the University System of Ohio, opportunities provided to Ohio residents to gain higher education, and the importance of making continuing education available for training and retraining to meet the needs of the future economy. KeyBank was the Sponsor of this session. The Eugene H. Freedheim Lecture by Robert Bullard, Ph.D., Ware Distinguished Professor of Sociology and Director of the Environmental Justice Resource Center, Clark Atlanta University, was on the topic, Growing Smarter: Achieving Livable Communities and Environmental Justice.
