Getting to the Human Services Institute at the Cleveland Convention Center Friday, March 28, 2008 The Human Services Institute is held at the Cleveland Convention Center, located between St. Clair Avenue and Lakeside Avenue and bounded by East 6 Street in Downtown Cleveland. The preferred entrance to the Institute is down the taxi ramp that runs between St. Clair Avenue and Lakeside Avenue. The Lakeside Arch may be used as an alternate entrance; the Community Marketplace, as well as most Institute sessions, will be on the downstairs level of the Convention Center. Get a map to the Convention Center. Ride RTA: Take RTA to the bus stop on Lakeside Avenue by the Convention Center. Walk down the taxi ramp to the Convention Center entrance or use the Lakeside Arch entrance. For bus schedules, call RTA at 216-621-9500 or visit their Website: www.gcrta.org. Loop Bus: Park in the downtown area and take an RTA Loop to the bus stop by the Convention Center. See note above. Parking: The Convention Center Garage, located at the base of the taxi ramp, fills up early. Institute registration does not include reserved or free parking in the garage. If you drive, we recommend you allow extra time for traffic and for locating parking in a nearby commercial lot. The taxi ramp is a one-way road; all vehicles must enter from St. Clair Avenue. There is no parking on the taxi ramp; violators will be ticketed and/or towed by the City of Cleveland. Note: Taxi-ramp clearance is 8 ft. 6 in.; taller vehicles may not be able to enter.
