Human Services Institute
Since 1943, the Institute has been the place for Northeast Ohioans to convene and create community solutions together.
Join us on April 14, 2017, for our annual Human Services Institute Eugene H. Freedheim Lecture featuring the City of Baltimore's Commissioner of Health Leana S. Wen, M.D., MSC., FAAEM. As head of the oldest continually operating health department, Dr. Wen manages an annual budget of $130 million targeting issues such as the opioid epidemic, gun violence, maternal health, and lead poisoning.

The Human Services Institute is the region's longest-running educational event on health, social, and economic issues. It is traditionally attended by hundreds of people from diverse organizations, including service providers, advocates, funders, volunteers, public officials and other community leaders, students, and interested citizens.
In 2013, the Institute adapted to meet the ever-changing needs of our region by moving from its traditional one-day program covering a variety of health, social, and economic topics to a year-long series of shorter programs, each focused on a single topic and held in different parts of the region.
