We regularly celebrate mothers, fathers, and grandparents in special days set aside to honor them. Showing respect and gratitude to life-saving first-responders has been especially critical during the past couple years. We thank those who do even small favors for us, like hold the door open when our hands are full. Now it’s time to celebrate organizations and people who serve our community.
According to Cause IQ, there are over 14 thousand nonprofits in the Greater Cleveland metro area, including the cities of Cleveland and Elyria, employing over 260,000 people.* That doesn’t begin to count the thousands of volunteers who work with them. They’re all serving. They all deserve to be recognized.
Help Community Solutions spotlight this good work by nominating a nonprofit and/or volunteer to be honored at our annual Celebration of Human Services.
Help Community Solutions spotlight this good work by nominating a nonprofit and/or volunteer to be honored at our annual Celebration of Human Services. This year, there’s a special excitement as we’ll be back in person.
Who might you nominate?
During the last year, have you, your family, or someone you know received help with:
- Food, clothing, or shelter
- Support during a crisis
- Hospice or home health care
- Senior center activities
- After-school activities
- Care for someone with special needs
- Protection from a dangerous situation
Where did those services originate? What organization earned your trust? Was there a volunteer who went above and beyond? Supports and services provided by nonprofits are seemingly endless. Many of those services are provided by trained volunteers who work side-by-side with dedicated employees.
Please join us in celebrating them by submitting your nominations for the $25K Anisfield-Wolf Memorial Award and the Most Treasured Volunteer Awards.
