We’re hiring! For a research assistant/contract manager

Over the past several years, The Center for Community Solutions has built a substantial consulting portfolio working with nonprofits, government agencies and philanthropic funders across Northeast Ohio and beyond. This aspect of our work has grown to the point where we need additional support. Community Solutions seeks a dynamic, detail-oriented individual to serve in a newly created, full-time position on the Applied Research team in our Cleveland office. We are seeking someone to work in partnership with me to provide administrative support and project coordination, as well as add to our capacity to gather, analyze and present data and information on health, social and economic issues.

Apply today!

This position is a utility player on our team and will help with a variety of tasks, and in any given day you may be asked to schedule meetings and handle event logistics, manage contracts and invoicing schedules, prepare materials and attend meetings with external partners, contribute to consulting and other projects, collaborate across with colleagues across the organization, collect and analyze data, research issues or write blog posts. Therefore, ability to handle multiple, sometimes competing priorities is essential, as is a very strong attention to detail and solid judgment. This person will have frequent contact with consulting clients and other external partners, so excellent verbal and written communication skills and a pleasant and professional demeanor are key.

This is an opportunity to join a dynamic team in a well-respected organization with a long history of working on issues that impact our communities.

The ideal candidate has at least a bachelor’s degree in a health-related, social science or public administration field, supplemented by practical field work, work experience or graduate studies, and is committed to his or her own professional growth. A basic understanding of Ohio’s public policy and health and social service landscape is strongly preferred, but not required. If you bring experience with data visualization, qualitative and quantitative data collection or analysis, graphic design and/or project management, that would be great.
