SNAP is a nutrition assistance program that touches every part of our country. It is a benefit program that allows seniors, working adults and children an often-temporary assist in meeting the most basic of needs—food.
As of November 1, 2025, it was no longer available to 42 million people.
In Cuyahoga County, there are certainly concentrations of residents who are enrolled in the program. As we wait for the federal government to respond to court cases related to funding SNAP, many will be without benefits, or reduced benefits.
