Handful of health and social services levies on May ballot

Some voters scattered in communities across Ohio will have the opportunity to approve additional investments in services for children, seniors, and people with developmental disabilities in special or primary elections on May 4. There are county-wide levy requests supporting health and human services on the ballot in seven Ohio counties, listed below.

Children’s Services

  • Allen County: Renewal, 0.5-mill, five years
  • Knox County: Additional, 1-mill, 10 years
  • Portage County: Additional, 0.5-mill, five years

 Senior Services

  • Jackson County: Additional, 0.5-mill, five years
  • Sandusky County: Replacement, 1-mill, five years
  • Van Wert County: Two, five-year replacement levies: 0.25-mills and 0.2-mills

 Developmental Disabilities

  • Sandusky County: Renewal, 2-mills, five years

 Public Health

  • Miami County: Renewal, 0.4-mills, 10 years
