Ending the HIV Epidemic: A Plan for America (EHE) was launched by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and aims to end the HIV epidemic in the United States by 2030.
This initiative will leverage key strategies in prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and outbreak response to pursue this goal by coordinating the highly successful programs, resources, and infrastructure of many HHS agencies and offices.
The first phase focuses on bringing together resources and expertise in 57 geographic areas where HIV transmission occurs most frequently to develop and implement locally tailored EHE plans.
Planning is underway now in three Ohio communities and the final plans will be submitted before the end of 2020.
