
We’re thrilled to announce that Ideastream Public Media’s Mike McIntyre will be taking center stage as the Master of Ceremonies for the Celebration of Human Services, happening on November 21 at Tinkham Veale University Center Ballroom, Case Western Reserve University!
Mike spent 30 years as a reporter, feature writer, Sunday Magazine staffer and metro columnist for The Plain Dealer, where he also wrote about stand-up comedy for the Friday! Magazine. In 2010, he took over hosting duties for the Sound of Ideas, WKSU’s daily public affairs talk show, and held that job for 10 years. Mike became executive editor in 2020 and continues to host the Friday Sound of Ideas Reporters Roundtable on WKSU and Ideas on WVIZ.
Mike was elected by the Press Club of Cleveland into the Cleveland Journalism Hall of Fame in 2016; he's Leadership Cleveland class of 2022

He graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Science in journalism and from St. Edward High School.
