Community Solutions has just released fact sheets and data profiles for Cleveland’s new wards that will go into effect January 2026. There is a wealth of important information in these documents about Cleveland’s communities that can help government make decisions, nonprofits determine programming, funders develop focus areas, health systems examine disparities, and so much more.
To accompany this release, we have developed a resource to be used with the fact sheets.
Our Telling your story through data tool can assist community members in advocacy efforts, civic engagement, volunteerism, and education among other uses. Individual Clevelanders can use the fact sheet data to visualize and realize the changes they want to see in their neighborhood.
What is my new Cleveland ward?
Since the boundaries are changing, and wards were reduced from 17 to 15, we recommend looking here first to confirm your new ward.
To use the tool, we suggest either working from top to bottom as you read through your ward’s data, if you already have an idea of what change you would like to see in your community. Or, start with a few data points that stick out to you and work from there to fill in the rest of the sheet. The second page of the worksheet has some examples on how to use the worksheet.
Another bonus activity is looking at the relationship of the ward boundaries in relations to the neighborhoods. Check out this piece to explore what neighborhoods comprise the new wards.
We would love to hear if and how you are using the fact sheets and these resource. If you feel comfortable sharing you thoughts, send us an email at info@communitysolutions.com or tag us @commsols on Facebook and X, and @community_solutions on Instagram.
