Be Counted: A conversation about seniors and the U.S. Census

The Center for Community Solutions and the Council on Older Persons will hold a conversation about seniors 
and the U.S. Census.

 

The event will feature discussions about things like why the census is important for older adults, how to reach older adults and who are the groups at risk of being under counted. It will also feature more practical tips like what to do if you accidentally invalidate a census form. Panelists and guests include Phyllis Cleveland, Vice President of the Cleveland City Council, Nada Martinovic, a U.S. Census Bureau Partnership Specialist, Danielle Syndor, the Executive Director of Economic and Community Development Institute of Northern Ohio, Katherine Foley, the Executive Director of Services for Independent Living and Tracey Mason, the Administrator of the Cuyahoga County Division of Senior and Adult Services.

Cuyahoga County will also offer 1.5 FREE CEUs for social workers who attend the event.

The Saint Luke’s Foundation, the Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging and Cuyahoga County are sponsors of this event.
